Read Oh Comely Issue 11 and The History of Love by Nicole Krauss (made me cry). Went to France, souvenirs: handmade fan, painted plate and a ticket for a boat ride down the river. Listened to Bon Iver, Bon Iver and played cards at two in the morning. Last day of the holidays, bought far too much stationary for school. Saw Carys for the day, wore sunshine in my ears and the time round my neck, lost too many buttons.
i had a train layover in Venice, so i took out the ol’ moleskin and drew across the canal.

A photo of mine from a trip to Venice and Padua/Padova in 2008. Hard to believe I took this photo four years ago! It’s still one of my best I have done on film and I was so glad to find it when I went back to London this week. I think it was taken in Padua/Padova but I’m not 100% sure!
